City of Greeley’s Outdoor Pools and Splash Parks Open May 28
Greeley Recreation officials announce their outdoor pools and splash parks will be opening for the season beginning Saturday, May 28.
Facilities and New Hours
Residents and visitors can enjoy some fun in the sun at two outdoor pools with new later evening hours. Both facilities will be open from 12 to 6 p.m. daily:
Outdoor pools will be open Monday through Sunday until Aug. 11. Once school goes back in session, the outdoor pools will only be open on weekends only from Aug. 13 to Sept. 5 (Labor Day).
Admission costs $5 for adults, $4 for youth and seniors, and $1.50 for children 5 and under – who must be accompanied in the pool by a paying adult). Purchase a 10-punch pass at Centennial Pool, Discovery Bay, Family FunPlex, or Greeley Recreation Center for $32 youth or senior, and $40 adult for the best value this season!
The City of Greeley also offers two free splash parks with new hours 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily:
Both splash parks will be open from May 28 through September 5.
Special Events
Discovery Bay will host Wednesday Family Nights throughout the summer for a chance to swim at the waterpark with your children until dusk with extended hours from noon - 8 p.m.
Centennial Pool will offer a few special events on Thursday nights:
- Wibit Nights (inflatable obstacle course in the pool) June 2 and 16, and July 7 and 21 from 4-8 p.m.
- Swim-in Theater is July 14 showing the movie Sandlot (PG), 1993. The pool opens at 7:30 p.m., movie starts at dusk. Bring your inflatables to lounge in the pool during the film. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for youth (6-15) and seniors, and $2.50 for children 5 and under. This year’s sponsor is Sexy Sammies Chicken Sandwiches & Tenders, be sure to check out their menu and try their food at the event.
