Construction Begins on New Sheep Draw Triple Creek Trail
Work started this week to build 6,000 feet of new trail to connect west Greeley housing developments to Greeley’s trail system and through that to the Poudre River Trail.
The new Sheep Draw Triple Creek Trail starts south of 77th Avenue near W 12th Street and connects to the south at 20th Street and to the east at 71st Avenue — where the trail will run under the newly constructed 71st Avenue Bridge.
Earlier this week, preliminary work began and next week trail construction will start in earnest. During the next three months, constructions crews will work at various locations along the planned trail route spending limited amounts of time in each section.
As crews build Greeley’s newest section of trail, officials ask residents and nearby lovers-of-the-outdoors to give the construction plenty of room to operate safely and respect the fencing and boundaries set up to protect residents and construction workers alike.
