Family FunPlex Reopens July 6 with Limited Hours and Access

City of Greeley officials will reopen the Family FunPlex, 1501 65th Ave. Monday, July 6.

In the interest of public health, staff safety, and meeting state and CDC recommendations for social distancing during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, officials put certain precautions in place. City officials strongly encourage visitors to wear masks while at the FunPlex. The locker rooms and child care areas remain closed. Pool and related amenities also remain closed due to ongoing renovations.

Facility Operations

The Family FunPlex will open with limited hours, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Staff ask that members and guests get ready before arriving at the facility — dressed in the appropriate attire for their activity. Locker rooms will stay closed and the facility offers minimal storage for personal items.

Visitors can use the fieldhouse, track, miniature golf course and weight room, however, customers must reserve those facilities ahead of time. Register for a 90-minute time block at familyfunplex.com. Walk-in customers can use facilities with available capacity — pre-registered users get priority. At the end of the 90-minute time block, all members and guests must leave the premises.

A 30-minute cleaning session immediately follows the 90-minute time blocks. Staff will clean equipment, contact surfaces, and high traffic areas with disinfectant. Officials encourage visitors to use the hand sanitizer stations available throughout the facility.

To use a meeting room, visitors must call the FunPlex at 970-350-9401 to make a reservation.  Events and meetings must abide by social distancing protocols and statewide capacity limitations.

Memberships
All members with an active membership on the facility closure date of March 13 will have their membership extended 114 days. For example, if an annual membership was supposed to end July 15, it will now end Nov. 6, 2020. For memberships paid monthly, they will extend by the number of days left in the pre-paid month. For example, a customer with two days left on their monthly membership before the facility closure on March 13 will have the remaining two days become effective July 6 and that membership would end July 8.

Group Fitness
Fitness studios will open only for classes. Staff will offer some courses outside at the amphitheater (weather permitting) during the summer. Customers can find the full schedule of classes and registration at familyfunplex.com.

Aquatics
Adventure Island Waterpark, lap pool, and steam room remain closed for upgrades. Staff anticipate these facilities will reopen in August or September. Centennial Pool is open for daily use with limited hours and restrictions due to COVID-19. Centennial Pool staff also offer swim lessons. Get more information at greeleyrec.com/aquatics. Greeley Recreation membership does not include admittance to Centennial Pool.  Additional fees will apply.
