Free Christmas Tree Recycling at GROW Center

Greeley and Weld County residents can recycle their real, natural Christmas trees for free through the end of January at the Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Recycling Center.

At the GROW Recycling Center, staff take the trees, grind them up, and turn them into compost used to enrich the soil. The alternative is sending them to the landfill.

Residents need to remove all decorations, lights, wires, and similar materials before taking them to the GROW Recycling Center.

The GROW Center is located at 1130 E 8th St., Greeley — 1 mile east of U.S. 85 on East 8th Street.

Free Christmas tree recycling runs 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday, starting Dec. 26 through the end of January — except Jan. 1 when the GROW Center will close for the New Year’s Day holiday.

Inclement weather may close the GROW Center. For more information about Christmas tree recycling, call 970-673-2042.
