Free History Presentation: “Historical Modeling as an Art”

GREELEY, Colo. — The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites everyone to a free historical modeling presentation at noon on Thursday, April 11, at the Greeley History Museum, 714 8th Street.

Former Historic Sites Curator for the Greeley Museums Scott Chartier will present how to research and build historical models for different eras, like World War II tanks and Viking ships. He will talk about the research process, how to construct models, and ways to make authentic environments.

The presentation is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.

Meet the Presenter
Scott is a retired biologist, historian and artist. He has worked for the Colorado Division of Wildlife and later for the City of Greeley Museums as the historic sites curator. Now retired, he consults for museums throughout the Midwest and enjoys adventures with his wife.
