Greeley announces new Information Technology Director Nick Hoyle
GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley announces Nick Hoyle as the city’s new information technology director.
Before coming to the city, Hoyle worked in higher education at both Aims Community College and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). He served as the assistant director of business analysis and ppplication support for UNC before joining the city as deputy chief information officer in March 2022.
In January 2023, Hoyle took ownership of operations, services, budget and the direct management of four supervisors. His official promotion recognizes his responsibilities and continued hard work.
In this new position, Hoyle will oversee all aspects of the city’s IT systems and infrastructure, ensure efficient and secure operation of technology resources to support business operations and strategic objectives, and lead a robust team of IT professionals to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
“We are excited that Nick has accepted this new role as the city’s information technology director,” said City Manager Raymond Lee. “Nick’s extensive technical experience, coupled with his understanding of business operations will be instrumental in enhancing internal operations and leveraging technology to improve services for our community.”
Hoyle received his Master of Science in business administration/computer information systems from Colorado State University and his Bachelor of Science from Utica University.
“As the Director of IT, I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to strategically grow and continuously improve the technology footprint in support of the amazing teams of staff and services the city provides to our citizens,” said Hoyle.
Hoyle officially started in his new role in April 2024.
