Greeley Considering Shelter and Housing Alternatives – 2nd Community Conversation

communityConversation2

City of Greeley officials hosted two community conversations on homelessness and housing alternatives in February and want to continue to hear input.

City staff invite all Greeley residents to the 2nd Community Conversation: How We Move Forward, More Conversations on Homeless and Housing Solutions in Greeley. These meetings are similar to the February format, with a:

  • virtual meeting scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13,
  • in-person meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 14, at the Greeley Recreation Center, 651 19th Avenue, Room 101ABC.

Participants should RSVP to attend either or both conversations at greeley-forward.rsvpify.com. A Zoom link for the April 13 conversation will be sent after receiving the RSVP.

The Conversation Continues
This round of conversations will focus on:

  • themes that emerged from the February meetings,
  • demand for services locally and regionally,
  • and best practices used around Colorado and nationally.

Participants will also provide input on possible recommendations regarding homeless services, local coordination, and housing options in Greeley. An agenda is available at greeleygov.com/homelessandhousingservices.

“We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to hear from our Greeley residents as we consider the next steps on this important community topic,” said Greeley City Manager Raymond Lee. “Whether new to the conversation or having been deeply impacted by homelessness in our community, feedback on possible recommendations, local coordination, and housing options in Greeley will drive future decisions.”

Unable to attend?

A video recording, presentation materials, and survey will be available after April 25 at greeleygov.com/homelessandhousingservices.
