The Greeley Ice Haus is a host rink for this year’s Big Mountain Hockey Classic January 17-20. This tournament highlights college teams in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) from the Western US. The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Bears Hockey team will be one of fourteen teams competing in the Hockey Classic.
The Big Mountain Hockey Classic is a showcase of hockey talent at the ACHA collegiate level. “The Ice Haus always looks forward to being a host for this national tournament and having UNC on their home ice for four days straight,” stated Ice Haus Supervisor, Mark Mann. “The tournament will be a great opportunity for local fans to see some exceptional hockey throughout the weekend.”

The University of Northern Colorado is currently in second place, behind MSU-Denver, with a record of 23-14. “The competition will be fierce,” stated Ice Haus Coordinator, Corbin Fitzgibbons. “It will be a good time for fans to support their team!” The Hockey Classic is open to the public. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 ages 5-22 years old, under 5 and UNC Students with school ID are free!
