Greeley Recognizes Properties That Are ‘Looking Good in the Neighborhood’

GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley is launching a new program called “Looking Good in the Neighborhood!” It's all about appreciating residents who take great care of their homes. Instead of focusing on rules and codes, this program celebrates people who go above and beyond to keep their properties clean and welcoming.

Here's how it works: Every month from June through September, code compliance inspectors will pick homes in each of their districts that stand out for their excellent upkeep. These homes don't need reminders about rules because they already look fantastic.

Code Compliance Manager Buxton Demers said, “This program is about showing gratitude for what many residents are doing right. When yards and sidewalks are well-kept, it shows that the community cares. We want to say thank you and encourage everyone to take pride in our city.”

Recognized homeowners will get a special “Looking Good in the Neighborhood” card to recognize their efforts.

The goal is to praise individual efforts and teach the community why regular property care matters. Learn more about how you can be a good neighbor on our Code Compliance webpage.

This program is a part of Greeley’s new “Clean, Safe and Beautiful” public maintenance standards.
