Greeley Recreation Center Reopens with Limited Hours and Access

City of Greeley officials will reopen the Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Ave. Monday, Oct.12.

The Greeley Recreation Center will open to the public and offer access to the weight room, gymnasiums, racquetball courts, and the pool for lap swim and water walking, all while following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State of Colorado guidance and rules.

Facility Operations and Restrictions

The Greeley Recreation Center will open with limited hours, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The City of Greeley requires masks in all City facilities. Staff requests that members and guests get ready and dressed in the appropriate attire for their activity before arriving at the facility. Lockers will remain closed and the facility offers minimal storage for personal items. Staff encourages visitors to use the hand sanitizer stations available in the facility.

Members and guests can use the gymnasiums, racquetball courts (two-person maximum per court), and the weight room. Staff highly recommends that customers reserve those facilities in advance. Customers can book a 90-minute time block at greeleyreccenter.com.

Priority is granted to visitors who reserve their timeslot online. Walk-in customers may receive access based on available capacity. Reservations will be forfeited if the reservee fails to arrive within the first 15 minutes of a timeslot. At the end of the session, all members and guests must leave the premises. Separate admission is required for each 90-minute session.

A 30-minute cleaning session immediately follows all of the time blocks. Staff cleans equipment, contact surfaces, and high traffic areas with disinfectant.

To inquire about the use of a meeting room, visitors must call 970-350-9400.  Events and meetings must abide by social distancing protocols, indoor mask mandate, and statewide capacity limitations.

Memberships
All customers with an active membership to the Family FunPlex can visit the Greeley Recreation Center for no extra charge. For those customers who do not have a current membership, one-month memberships or a daily admission may be purchased. This allows access to all available facility amenities and most fitness classes. Individuals may also purchase a 20-visit card, which is available for $96.

Aquatics
The pool will open for lap swim and water walking. Aquatics hours are 6 to 7:15 a.m. and noon to 1:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Sign up for sessions at greeleyreccenter.com
