GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley’s Potato Day event, scheduled for September 14 at Centennial Village Museum, has been cancelled for 2024. The event, which is produced and managed by the Friends of the Greeley Museums, is an annual fundraiser benefiting the City of Greeley Museums.
“We realize this is a time-honored tradition in Greeley,” Nathaniel Johnson, president of Friends of the Greeley Museums said. “It wasn’t a decision we took lightly, and we had hoped to move forward with it this year, but regret that we didn’t have the number of volunteers needed to continue with the event for 2024.”
The organization’s fundraising efforts support historical events, learning experiences, projects and exhibits at the Greeley Museums throughout the year.
“We respect and understand their decision and are deeply grateful for their continued support and partnership,” Chris Bowles, City of Greeley Museums Manager said.
