History Hour Explores the Ku Klux Klan’s Rise in 1920s Colorado

A little-known chapter in history with a lasting impact in Northern Colorado

GREELEY, Colo. — The next installment of the History Hour series will be on Thursday, May 22. Historian Meg Dunn will present KKK in the 1920s in Colorado.

During the presentation, Dunn will provide an overview of how the Ku Klux Klan was unfortunately revived in 1915 and invited to Colorado. It spread to every state region, including Northern Colorado, with a damaging impact.

The presentation will be from noon-1:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Greeley History Museum, 714 8th Street.
