John Tesh Presents Songs and Stories from the Grand Piano at Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center

John-Tesh

Artist and composer John Tesh presents an evening of his celebrated music and the stories that shaped them in John Tesh: Songs and Stories from the Grand Piano at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5 at Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center.

Featuring appearances by his daughter Prima and son Gib, Tesh weaves his award-winning music with captivating tales from his career, such as his pivotal Red Rocks Live performance and the genesis of the NBC Sports’ NBA theme song, “Roundball Rock.”

A Celebrated Artist with a Multi-faceted Career

From Emmy award-winning radio and TV host to celebrated pianist and composer, Tesh’s unique journey is extensive as it is varied. Starting out as an investigative journalist for CBS, he became a household name during his 10-year run as an anchor on “Entertainment Tonight” before combining his on-air work with his skill for composing at the Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic Games. After composing the iconic NBA on NBC basketball theme song, Tesh firmly established his musical reputation.

Pivoting to his next venture, Tesh became a nationally recognized radio personality with the “John Tesh Radio Show,” and continues to entertain and inform listeners today on the multi-platform program, “Intelligence for Your Life.” His latest project, TheWarriorMindset.com, provides coaching and success-strategies through a livestreaming, membership program.

Throughout his three decades of work in entertainment, Tesh earned six music Emmys, two Grammy award nominations, three gold records, produced seven public television specials, sold eight millions records, and was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2019.
