Lance Burton, Master Magician and Friends Brings Las Vegas Magic to Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center

Lance-Burton

Master illusionist Lance Burton presents Las Vegas entertainment in a captivating performance for the whole family in Lance Burton, Master Magician and Friends at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10 at Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center.

With more than 30 years of live magic experience, Burton combines his expert illusion techniques with sleight of hand, audience participation, and guest performers for an immersive and exciting show.

A Las Vegas Legend
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Burton arrived on the national stage in 1981, making his first appearance on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” in an unprecedented 12-minute routine, leading to a wide range of TV show appearances, guest-starring roles, and TV specials.

While successful on TV, Burton made his greatest accomplishments in live performance. Working primarily in Las Vegas, he performed 15,000 shows throughout his career, starting out as a featured act in “The Folies Bergere” before headlining his first show at the Hacienda Hotel. His 13-year contract at Lance Burton Theater in the Monte Carlo Hotel broke records as the longest contract ever given to a live performer and the first theater built and named for an entertainer in Las Vegas.

Best Magician 12 Years in a Row
Throughout his career, Burton received numerous awards and accolades from his peers and fans. He was the first magician awarded the gold medal from the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 1980 and the first American and youngest magician to win the Grand Prix from the Federation Internationale Societes des Magiques in 1982. For twelve years the “Las Vegas Review Journal’s” Best of Las Vegas readers’ poll named Burton as Best Magician – a feat unequaled to this day.
