League of Women Voters Hosts Greeley Mayoral and Council Candidate Forum
Greeley voters have a chance to hear from the candidates for their mayor and city council positions. A special candidate forum will take place on Thursday September 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Greeley City Council Chambers, in City Center South, 1001 11th Ave.
The forum will be hosted and moderated by the League of Women Voters of Greeley-Weld County (LWVGW) and offers the chance for candidates to present short position statements and answer questions from LWV leaders and the public.
Greeley City Council position up for election this year include:
- Mayor (2-years term) or dates of term
- Councilor At-Large (4-year term) or dates of term
- Ward I (4-years term) or dates of term
- Ward IV (4-years term) or dates of term
“The League of Women Voters of Greeley-Weld County is happy to provide this opportunity for the public to hear candidates for Greeley City Council respond to questions about where they stand on city issues and on what they bring to the council, in a thoughtful, fair environment,” said Barbara Whinery, the Voter Services Coordinator for the LWV of Greeley-Weld County.
Attendees can park behind the City Center South municipal building and find additional parking on the street south of the complex.
After the live event, a recording of the forum will be available for viewing on-demand on the City of Greeley’s YouTube channel.
