Linn Grove Cemetery Memorial Day Program Cancelled Due to COVID-19
Due to public health concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Linn Grove Cemetery's annual Memorial Day program will not take place this year.
State guidelines prohibit large gatherings and the best medical and scientific data indicate such events would cause a public health concern based on the levels of COVID-19 in the area.
On Memorial Day, the cemetery grounds will be open to the public for families to visit and honor their loved ones. Cemetery grounds staff will make small American flags available for visitors to place on veteran’s graves. Visitors can pick up and place the flags Monday, May 18 through Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Staff recommends visitors come in the days leading up to Memorial Day to avoid overcrowding. Colorado’s “Safer at Home” order restricts groups to fewer than 10 people at a time.
The cemetery grounds office will be staffed, with applicable social distancing practices, Memorial Day morning to address customer inquiries.

The “Avenue of Flags” display will be presented in honor of our lost Veterans from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. weather permitting. The P.A. system will also be presenting Ray Read’s “Freedom is Never Free” Memorial Day Speech on the hour from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. with the Raising of the Flag at noon.
