Making Memories at the Father Daughter Dance

FDDlinedance18

There is no better place to make a lifetime memory than at the Greeley Recreation Center’s annual Father Daughter Dance. Fathers and daughters of all ages can come dressed in their best and attend a dance on either Friday, January 24 or Saturday, January 25 at 6 p.m. “It’s an annual tradition,” said Music Man DJ, Chris Haug, who has been rocking the tunes for the dance since its inception over 10 years ago. “It’s so much fun to see a girl light up spending an evening with her dad,” Haug says.

Admission to the Father Daughter Dance includes a professional photo, finger foods and with this year’s theme the ‘Grand Ball’ a royal carriage in the hall for the perfect photo opportunity! “It’s such a special event; it’s definitely one for the family scrap book! My own husband and daughters have so many fond memories of attending the dance,” said Recreation Supervisor, Andrea Haring.

“The success of the dance,” says Haring, “is attributed to the many sponsors that have supported the event over the years including Mariposa Plants, Flowers and Gifts and Balloon Art by Merry Makers. They create different décor annually for the dance keeping it unique, with a balloon canopy on the dance floor and beautiful flower arrangements on tables.” Music Man DJ plays the latest and greatest tunes, tasty refreshments are provided by UNC Catering; and the assistance of great partners like Dana Orthodontics, Weld Waits, Double Tree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park, Meeker’s Colorado Kitchen & Bar, Weld Community Credit Union, the Greeley Tribune, New Country 99.1 and Retro 102.5, make the dance a special affair for all that attend.

Tickets for the Father Daughter Dance are on sale now for $40 per couple in advance, $45 at the door, and $10 for each additional daughter. Purchase tickets at the Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Avenue, the Family FunPlex, 501 65th Avenue, by phone 970-350-9400 or online at GreeleyRec.com/calendar. All ages are welcome.
