New Mayor and Council Installation
Plans are underway for the formal installation of Greeley’s newly elected Mayor and Councilmembers.
On November 12, 2019, the Mayor, Ward I and Ward IV Councilmembers will take the Oath of Office and be seated as newly elected officials. This ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m., in Council’s Chambers at City Center South, 1001 11th Avenue, and the public is invited to attend. The ceremony also will be broadcast live on GTV8 (Comcast channel 8) and online at greeleygov.com/gtv8live.
The two At-large Councilmembers will be seated upon the completion of final election processes including the tabulation of cured ballots, potential recount if required, and official ballot certification.
Greeley voters were asked to vote for two candidates in the At-large race with a four-year term assigned to the candidate receiving the highest number of votes and a two-year term assigned to the candidate receiving the next highest number of votes. The results on election night revealed that Ed Clark received the highest number of votes and will receive the four-year term, while the vote total between incumbent Stacy Suniga and candidate Kristin Zasada is too close to call.
Upon completion of the election processes mentioned above, the installation ceremony for the two At-large positions will be scheduled for the next available City Council Meeting.
