Next Two Weeks Greeley Residents Can Dispose of Tree Limbs For Free at Greeley Organic Waste Center

TreeDownSnow-News-Release

In the wake of this last weekend’s winter storm, Greeley officials decided to waive recycling fees for tree limbs at the Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center for Greeley residents.

The GROW center will waive these fees for Greeley residents from Saturday, March 20, until April 3. Residents must have an ID with a Greeley address or other proof of residency.

Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday this time of year, the GROW Center is located at 1130 East 8th St., one mile east of U.S. 85 on East 8th Street.

Those who live outside of Greeley can still use this recycling service with normal fees. The GROW center allows for environmentally-friendly disposal of numerous types of green waste including:

  • Limbs and branches
  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Plants
  • Other designated organic materials (see the flyer posted on the City of Greeley recycling website for more details)

Prices for the recycling service vary based on the type and amount of material. Tree limbs, branches, and other brush cost $7 per cubic yard (a full-size pickup filled to bed level is 3 cubic yards). Logs larger than 8 inches in diameter cost $15 per cubic yard. The GROW Center only accepts cash payments.

For more information about the GROW center call 970-673-2042 or go online to greeleygov.com/services/recycling.
