Reimagine Lincoln Park: City of Greeley Launches Lincoln Park Enhancement Project

GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley announces the launch of a redesign master plan for historic, downtown Lincoln Park, kicking off phase one on Saturday, July 27.

 

“As Greeley grows and develops, so must our central gathering places to reflect the community we support,” said Diana Frick, director of Cultural, Parks and Recreation. “Preserving the history and legacy of this park is always top of mind as we begin the redesign process.”

 

During the first phase of the Reimagine Lincoln Park project, community feedback and involvement will be essential. Residents can participate in several engagement sessions at the following public events and open house forums:

 

Reimagine Lincoln Park Engagement Opportunities

  • Saturday, July 27
    Look for the City of Greeley tent to provide feedback at these events.
    • Greeley Farmers’ Market at Lincoln Park: 8 a.m. to noon
    • Greeley Arts Picnic at Lincoln Park: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 28
    • Greeley Arts Picnic at Lincoln Park: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      • Look for the City of Greeley tent to provide feedback at this event.
    • Lincoln Park Community Open House: 5 to 7 p.m.
      • Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Avenue, Room 101 B & C
  • Monday, July 29
    • Lincoln Park Community Open House: 2 to 7 p.m.

Reimagine Lincoln Park Project Timeline
The City of Greeley awarded Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., the master plan redesign project on July 1. Associates of the firm along with city employees will form a steering committee responsible for community engagement, stakeholder interviews and a site audit of Lincoln Park.

 

After the five-day stakeholder and community feedback sessions from July 27-31, the steering committee will enter phase two of the project to define a proposed direction of development for the park. Additional community engagement for this project is anticipated to take place in fall 2024.
