Sheep Draw Trail Temporary Closure for Sewer Line Construction
The Sheep Draw Trail between 71st and 77th avenues will close for one month starting Nov. 18 to continue the installation of a new sanitary sewer line in the area.
The trail will remain open eastbound from the McCloskey Natural Area Trailhead at 1212 71st Ave. To access the Sheep Draw Trail west of 77th Avenue, use the trail in Mountain Vista Natural Area at 20th Street north to access the Sheep Draw Trail.
To expand sewer and sanitation services, the City of Greeley is installing a new sewer line in west Greeley. Construction started earlier this month near 71st Avenue, between 16th and 18th streets. Officials expect crews to complete the installation by January 2020. Aside from the trail closure, officials do not anticipate any significant traffic impacts or major roadway closures.
