“Spamilton: An American Parody” Closes the UCCC Spring 2022 Semester on a Hilarious High Note

Spamilton

After tours in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and London, “Spamilton: An American Parody” brings its singing, dancing, and comedy revolution to Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 13 at 651 10th Ave.

The side-splitting musical spoof delivers nonstop laughs, impressive music, and dance numbers while poking fun at Broadway characters, celebrities, and many other famous Broadway shows.

Smart, Silly, and Convulsively Funny

Created by Gerard Alessandrini, the comic mastermind behind the long-running hit "Forbidden Broadway," and performed by a versatile cast of eight, "Spamilton" is a crash course in everyone’s favorite Broadway blockbusters. The musical parody includes celebrity satires and pop culture zings accompanied by hip-hop on the piano.

“Spamilton” received rave reviews from the “The New York Times,” “New York Post,” and “The Boston Globe,” with the publications calling the production “smart, silly, and often convulsively funny,” “the next best thing to seeing Hamilton,” and “uproariously entertaining.”

Spamiltour LLC produced the North American tour of “Spamilton: An American Parody,” developed at The Triad Theater in New York City by John Freedson, David Zippel, Gerard Alessandrini, and Christine Pedi.
