Tap In! to Greeley.WaterSmart.com for Your Chance to Win $100 or a Tablet

WS_Customer_Portal_Tablet-News

The city of Greeley is serious about water savings this year and wants to make it easier for residents to save water, too.

The city of Greeley will reward seven winners this winter and spring who Tap In! and sign up for WaterSmart to better manage their household water use. WaterSmart is an online customer portal that pairs with the city’s water meters to track water use; offer water conservation ideas; catch costly leaks and more.

The city began its project to install the new water meters last year, and crews will continue this year, with the ultimate goal of converting all 29,500 of the city’s meters to the newer devices. Customers do not have to have a new meter to sign up for WaterSmart, and they can get the same water-saving tips and alerts through the system – though not as quickly as the new meters.

Five winners will receive a $100 gift card just for Tapping In! to WaterSmart – and two winners will receive an android tablet. All winners will be chosen monthly at random among those who sign up for Greeley.WaterSmart.com through May 31. Tablet winners will be announced in early June. Just sign up and be entered to win.

WaterSmart is mobile-friendly and can be used on a smartphone. It can catch leaks faster and help Greeley’s customers save money, while also protecting Greeley’s water resources. Officials expect WaterSmart and the city’s new water meters to help save 200 million gallons of water a year in Greeley through leak detection and better customer water management. Many residents who have signed up have already caught costly leaks.

So ‘Tap In!’ and secure a chance to win by signing up for WaterSmart. Customers can follow Greeley Water’s Facebook page for water conservation tips. Customers also can find multiple water-saving tips through greeleygov.com/conserve or Colorado Water Wise.
