The Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave., eagerly presents the Colorado premiere of “Herstory: The Visionary Life of Lydia Ruyle and the Banners of the Divine Feminine” on Saturday, October 12, at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sunday, October 13, at 2:00 p.m. The Saturday showing includes a post-event reception in the UCCC’s Two Rivers Lounge.
“Herstory: The Visionary Life of Lydia Ruyle and the Banners of the Divine Feminine” is a one-hour documentary showcasing the story of iconic artist, Goddess scholar, author, activist, and matriarch Lydia Ruyle whose life, death and Goddess Banners inspired people worldwide. The film documents the incredible story of how her worldwide community came together to celebrate her, say goodbye and honor the passing of the matriarch. The film features exclusive interviews with those who have been enriched by her work.
Award winning filmmaker Dr. Isadora Gabrielle Leidenfrost, a filmmaker, public speaker, author, designer and entrepreneur, wrote the film. Her mission is to create multi-media to empower women.
Lydia Ruyle, also known as “Ya-Ya” was an artist and scholar who pursued Goddess research for decades. At age 60, Ruyle began creating her Goddess Banners, which are visionary images of the Sacred Feminine drawn from all cultures which she used to inspire, empower, and teach other about herstories from all over the world.
