Wreaths Across America is a nationwide program in over 4,000 cemeteries honoring Veterans by placing an evergreen wreath on Veterans’ graves. In Greeley, the Wreaths Across America at Linn Grove Cemetery program also honors first responders buried at the cemetery. Volunteers are needed from the Greeley community to ensure this annual ceremony is successful.

Ways to Help

Attending the Wreath Ceremony & Volunteering to place wreaths:

The Wreath Laying Ceremony at Linn Grove Cemetery will be on Saturday, December 16 at 10 a.m. After this brief ceremony, all those attending will be asked to help place wreaths on the graves of Veterans and first responders. Anyone is welcome to attend, and warm clothes and gloves are advised.

Sponsor a Wreath

For a small donation of $17, anyone can sponsor an evergreen wreath to be laid upon the grave of a Veteran or first responder.  The deadline for sponsoring a wreath is November 28, 2023.

“There’s much work to be done to ensure each Veteran and first responder is honored and remembered this December,” said Chris Ruth, location coordinator with Wreaths Across America at Linn Grove Cemetery. “We count on our community’s support. Volunteering or sponsoring a wreath is a wonderful opportunity to carry on our mission: to remember our Veterans. Honor those who served our community and country and teach our children the value of freedom.”
