You’re Invited to Help Out Greeley’s Youth
City of Greeley Golf will celebrate its golfing community and raise money for local youth with the Third Annual Greeley Golfers Appreciation Day tournament and party. The celebration takes place Friday, July 19, at Boomerang Links Golf Course, 7309 West 4th Street.
Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. for the two-person scramble tournament. Prizes include golf bags, gift certificates and bragging rights. Players have a chance to win an E-Z-GO golf cart on Hole 7, provided by 2534 RV.
After the tournament, at 4:30 p.m., anyone can enjoy a driving range party with games and local music. Outback Restaurant & Pub will offer a fajita bar and beer at discounted prices. The party is open to everyone with the hope of getting more people interested in golf and fostering a strong golf community in Greeley.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Greeley Junior Golf Association. In 2018, the $3000 raised purchased tee markers specifically for junior golfers. In recent years, Highland Hills Head Golf Professional Chris Colling increased his efforts to reach juniors in the community and get them interested in golf.
The tournament costs $60 for green fee players, $40 for annual pass holders, and $35 for membership and punch card holders. Registration is open now and closes Friday, July 12 at Highland Hills and Boomerang Links golf courses.
