Financial Relief Available for Greeley's Low-Income Residents

The City of Greeley offers financial assistance to qualified Greeley residents from taxes paid on food the previous year. The program started in 1990 and expanded its benefit to include utility assistance credit applied to Greeley Water customer accounts. Residents of Greeley can apply for the city’s Low-Income Food Tax (LIFT) and Utility Programs (UP), beginning February 1.

Exciting Plans Shape the Future of Greeley’s Arroyos del Sol Natural Area

On February 28, 2025, Greeley closed on the Arroyos del Sol property and protected it with a conservation easement. This nearly 1,000-acre space is now safe for wildlife and outdoor activities. Trust for Public Land (TPL) bought the property in 2022, with support from Greeley and Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), to protect it from development. Colorado Open Lands will hold the conservation easement in perpetuity.

April History Hour Sessions Dive Into Untold Stories of the Holocaust

The next installments of the History Hour series are on Thursday, April 10, and Thursday, April 24. Both sessions will feature the same presentation, Holocaust 101, by Dr. Joan Clinefelter. Dr. Clinefelter teaches Modern European History at the University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Clinefelter will talk about lesser-known parts of the Nazis’ genocide of European Jews. She will also discuss the Nazis’ plans for the future after the war and the role of Auschwitz in those plans. All questions are welcome. Read more about the History Hour sessions.

City Council Work Session on April 22 Moving to Greeley Police Department

The City of Greeley’s City Council Work Session on April 22 will take place at a different location than usual. On April 22, the work session will be in the Donahue Room at the Greeley Police Department, located at 2875 W 10th Street. Typical work sessions are at City Council Chambers at City Center South.
