Lariat Apartments Break Ground at Centerplace

Lariat Apartments Groundbreaking

McWhinney broke ground this month on the Lariat, a new multifamily community just east of Centerplace in Greeley.

Located on a 12.4-acre site between 38th Avenue and 42nd Avenue, Lariat plans to feature 304 apartment homes spread across eight buildings and two townhome buildings. Lariat will offer a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging in size from 599 square feet to 1,559 square feet, all with open floor plans, large closets, and all major appliances included. The two townhome buildings will feature both two- and three-bedroom townhome options.
The Lariat is anticipated to be completed by late Fall 2023.

Amenities will include a 7,000 square foot clubhouse that plans to feature a coffee bar, fitness center, yoga studio, coworking space, and a game room, along with an outdoor pool and spa. Residents will enjoy a mix of parking options, including garages that accommodate larger vehicles.

Colorado’s Brinkman Construction is serving as the project’s general contractor, with Studio PBA leading the design team. “We are very excited to develop our first apartment community in Greeley,” said David Jaudes, senior vice president of multifamily development at McWhinney. “This community will offer great amenities and a fantastic location close to shopping, dining, parks, multiple schools, and the University of Northern Colorado.”

McWhinney has a strong 30+ year history of successfully investing across all real estate mixed-use asset classes including hospitality, multifamily, industrial and office projects located in Colorado, Texas, Massachusetts, Oregon, California, and Nebraska.

McWhinney has more than 4,500 apartment units completed or under construction. McWhinney recently began phase two of Railway Flats Apartments in Loveland, adding 180 more homes to its existing community portfolio located in east Centerra. Other current projects include FoundryLine, a 348-unit luxury apartment community located in Denver’s RiNo Art District currently under construction, PARK40, a development of 313 apartment homes that are leasing at the new Baseline master-planned community in Broomfield, Colo., and Clovis Point, which features 208 modern apartment homes for lease in Longmont, Colo.
