Early winter and spring in Colorado are also the water system leak season. As temperatures fluctuate greatly, the soil around our buried pipes is expanding and contracting, and that additional pressure from the bedding material stresses the pipe and our aging infrastructure.
At Greeley Water, our field team strives to be responsive to leaks, safe in their site management, and effective at making timely repairs in the field. We work to minimize service outages, loss of water and other impacts to our community.
If you see a water main break or have a water or sewer emergency, please report your concerns. Water and Sewer values your input and engagement. Waterline issues can be reported at 970-350-9811 during weekday business hours, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The daytime (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) sewer emergency number is 970-350-9322.
After hours, holiday, and weekend problems should be reported to 970-616-6260. This will alert our on-call water field team.
The Water & Sewer Department appreciates your patience during a water main break or other interruption of water service.
When a main break only impacts a small geographic area, the City of Greeley does not usually post on the big social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. The City makes local alerts posts on Nextdoor, because messages can be targeted to smaller geographic areas. .Nextdoor is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood.
