In the interest of public safety, City of Greeley officials decided to close City offices and facilities Tuesday, Nov. 26 due to the impending snowstorm.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning today that goes into effect from 8 p.m. this evening to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. The City’s Public Works, Police and Fire departments and all other public-safety-related personnel will remain on duty.
This morning, Greeley’s street crews and snowplow operators went to 12-hour shifts, 24 hours a day, and will stay on duty until the storm has passed and Greeley’s roads are cleared.
City of Greeley facilities not providing essential services will close and personnel assigned to these facilities and services are asked to stay home.
Officials recommend people limit time outdoors and driving during the storm to help Public Works crews and emergency services quickly respond to urgent matters and work to keep Greeley as safe as possible during the storm. Street crews and snowplows will work through the night to keep major and essential roadways clear and then move to the major neighborhood roads typically plowed during snowstorms.

Greeley-Evans Transit (GET)
Greeley-Evans Transit officials intend to operate all services Nov. 26. However, officials ask riders to please stay tuned to weather updates as services may be reduced or stopped based on emerging weather conditions. Due to the weather, the University of Northern Colorado is also closed Tuesday, Nov. 26. As a result, all Boomerang Routes are canceled for Tuesday.

Municipal Court Appearances
Municipal Court is closed along with all other non-public safety facilities. Individuals scheduled to appear in Municipal Court Nov. 26 should call 970-350-9230 as soon as city facilities re-open to reschedule their appearance.

Por ahora, oficiales del transporte público “Greeley-Evans Transit” procuran continuar todos los servicios el 26 de nov. Pasajeros deben mantenerse al tanto de acontecimientos climáticos, ya que servicios podrían ser reducidos o cesados dependiendo de cambios.
