Changes to Temporary Sign Permit Requirements

In response to the spread of COVID-19 and the confirmed cases in Weld County, City officials have limited access to non-essential services and facilities. The City is very much aware of the potential impacts the business restrictions are causing throughout the City. In support of local businesses, the City has suspended the requirement for businesses to obtain a temporary sign permit through March 31, 2021.

During this time, any business can install a temporary sign (including banners, yard signs, etc.) as follows:

  1. A temporary sign must not exceed 50 square feet.
  2. A temporary sign may be placed on the property in which the activity would be occurring.
  3. The temporary sign would be allowed to remain in place until March 31, 2021.
  4. Businesses may apply for temporary sign permits for up to an additional 90 days after March 31, 2021.
