Every household in Greeley is going to receive an invitation this month to complete the 2020 Census. I encourage you to take the time to fill it out completely. 

February is the month of love. I love this city and am blessed to be in the role of City Manager, but I want to remind you of a few of the reasons you have to love Greeley!
We have a thriving economy and a great place to call home. 

January marks one big step for our northern Colorado community and one even bigger step for commuters as the Poudre Express bus service connects Greeley, Windsor, and Fort Collins.

A common misconception about police is that when an officer knocks on your door, it’s bad news; but what if that officer comes bearing Christmas gifts for a child?

Every two years we send a community survey that allows you to tell us what you think about our community, the progress we are making, and areas that we need to improve upon. Your responses are important so that we can meet the needs of all of our residents.

This month we are celebrating the completion of the first stage in Greeley’s new skatepark network at Centennial Skatepark on October 5. 

A strong and steadfast fire department is a necessity for the safety of any community. Thanks to Greeley voters approving the continuation of the .16% public safety tax last November, we are moving forward a few projects that will help our fire department continue to expand and meet the needs of our growing community. 

I decided that I wanted to be a City Manager back when I was in 8th grade.  Since then, I’ve worked hard to achieve that goal, and I’ve been blessed to serve that role in the place where I grew up, Greeley, Colorado. 

Greeley is an active, diverse, and growing community. As a City government, we are tasked with providing essential services for our residents and improving the quality of life for everyone here. But to get that done, we need input and participation from residents. 

I love Greeley. In fact, I love all of the towns, cities, and counties that make up Northern Colorado. This area is an amazing place to live, work, and play.

We pass by popular tourist sites and local hotels; we may not even think of how it supports a community. Our large events, such as the Greeley Stampede, Greeley Blues Jam, Arts Picnic, and Monster Day and local attractions such as our museums, breweries, and performance halls are the backbone of Greeley. 

One of the City of Greeley’s core values is stewardship and we are committed to the efficient and effective use of resources.  As an organization, we also strive to leave things better than we found them. 

Between each house in Greeley and every city in northern Colorado you’ll find a road. We all drive them, ride them, walk along them, or use them in one way or another. 

Greeley is growing in just about every way imaginable. But we are always striving to make sure that we develop the “right” way. 

I am thankful, humbled, and proud of the Greeley community for stepping up and continuing efforts to make our quality of life something that is extraordinary.

The right to vote is an important individual liberty. Not only is it our right, but I believe it is our duty. Election Day is almost here and it’s vital for you to make your voice heard.

PROpel is the City of Greeley’s effort to improve how we attract, retain and develop talented employees. PROpel helps make a connection between what we already have.

Greeley is a community that is passionate about student success.  As the school year begins, I would like to highlight some of the programs that set our youth on a path to realizing a prosperous future and attaining their dreams.

The long wait for phase one of the new Greeley City Center is almost over! There has been a lot of time and energy spent creating this next exciting chapter of Greeley City Government’s future, and I am proud of the hard work that has gone into helping us better serve our residents.
