It is with tree-mendous excitement that we are able to host the 2022 Festival of Trees in the beautiful lobbies of the Union Colony Civic Center.
As one of Greeley's favorite holiday traditions, the festival will begin the Friday after Thanksgiving, and will jingle through the following Saturday. Nine days of festive, family-friendly, frolicking fun!
Bursting with beautiful, illuminated trees which are decorated by the community, the Festival of Trees strives to inspire a kinship among residents, businesses, and organizations. We hope to strengthen Greeley's foundation with holiday spirit, kindness, philanthropy, and joy!
Our schedule will include public hours for touring the trees, visits from Santa & Mrs. Claus, a silent auction, musical entertainment, horse & carriage rides, special events, and so much s'more!
Step into the Festival of Trees' Whoville Holiday, Saturday morning, 9 a.m. to 11:30am, November 26. Ticket holders, you’ll be walking into the pages of Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Throughout the morning kids can:
- have their who-do done at one of the Whoville Hair Salons;
- take their picture with the Grinch, (don’t forget your camera!);
- decorate a Grinch-ilicious cookie;
- find out their "Who" name;
- take part in a Seuss-tastic scavenger hunt throughout beautifully decorated trees;
- get their face painted by Merry Makers face painters;
- and make-and-take a “grinchy” craft!
Tickets are $16 per person (strollers count as a person) and go on sale at noon, Tuesday, October 25. Babies under 1 year in arms or a carrier on a person (not a stroller) get in free! A limited number of tickets will be sold and may be purchased online at UCSTARS.COM, by calling 970-356-5000, or from the UCCC Box Office, 701 10th Ave. Don’t miss a “who-larious” morning of fun!
Whoville Holiday is presented by the City of Greeley, the Greeley Philharmonic Guild, co-sponsored by ENT Credit Union, with in-kind support from Merry Makers Face Painters. All proceeds benefit the Union Colony Civic Center and the Greeley Philharmonic Guild.

2021 Festival of Trees Winners
A Look Back at Last Year's Event
Bears, bears, and more bears! We want to thank the volunteers who worked the 2021 Teddy Bear Bash! We had a fantastic selection of kids to help us from Greeley Central Key Club, Key Club of Greeley West High School, Bright Futures Colorado, Frontier Academy, University Schools & Greeley Lulac. Volunteers helped with running bear games, helping with bear crafts, becoming Christopher the Christmas Bear, serving donuts with 1,000,000 sprinkles, announcing bear prize winners, applying bear tattoos on little arms, & so much more! We feel very lucky to watch these "big kids" give of themselves, and truly embrace the holiday spirit! We also want to thank The Trinity Quilters Official for hand sewing 200 little bears for our attendees! Such a fun craft project, that kids will treasure! And finally, thank you to our event sponsor, Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies! Festival of Trees is such a joyous event, with so much community support! Thank you, Greeley Philharmonic Guild, for partnering with us for so many wonderful years on this holiday tradition in #greeley.
We would also like to thank the "Village" of Who's that helped with the 2021 Whoville Holiday celebration! Every who was assigned a Who Station and all played in perfect-Who-harmony! Thank you Greeley Central Key Club, Key Club of Greeley West High School, Bright Futures Colorado, Frontier Academy, University Schools, LULAC, & IBMC College! The Who-do's were amazing! Thank you to our fabulous sponsors as well, Aims Community College and Roche Constructors, Inc.
Drum roll... We are happy to announce our 2021 Festival of Trees winners! Of course, we LOVE all the tree submissions, and can't wait to see what the community will come up with next year -- we still want to congratulate the winners! Voted on by Festival attendees, all the votes were counted!
The 2021 People's Choice Winner is:
West Ridge Animal Hospital!
Complete with a doggy crime scene, and mini scavenger hunt, this was a very unique display! We can't tell you how many people tried to stand the tree up, thinking somehow, it had just fallen! The comedy was definitely appreciated by all!
We have three more winners to announce! Kid's Choice, was selected by kids, and they were choosing their favorite tree in Candy Cane Lane. Candy Cane Lane consisted of trees, that were decorated by kids only! Our fabulous sponsor, Weld Community Credit Union sponsored these trees, so these wonderful youth organizations could participate!
The 2021 Kid's Choice Winner is:
ABC's - Mrs. Walker's Class!
Two more winners to recognize, St. Nick's pick and Mrs. Claus's Favorite tree.
The 2021 St. Nick's Pick is:
Greeley Art Association! Many people wowed over the paintbrush star! Very creative!
The 2021 Mrs. Claus's Favorite Tree is:
Mariposa Plants & Flowers! Who knew trees could be soft and cuddly? Such a beautiful and unique display!
Thank you ALL for participating, and ALL for attending!
