Aven's Village at Island Grove
Inclusive Playground

News and events

  • Planning between the City of Greeley Parks Division and Shane’s Inspiration continues through the end of 2015 for Aven’s Village at Island Grove Regional Park. The community's outpouring of support has been amazing and donations continue to be accepted on behalf of the project to ensure the project reaches its fullest potential.

Although there isn’t a date scheduled for the ground breaking, here are the latest renderings for the playground (tap to enlarge):

What is Aven's Village?

There are only 2 universally accessible playgrounds in Northern Colorado. Aven’s Village at Island Grove Regional Park will be the third and is named in honor of Aven Mondy, a local girl who has cerebral palsy. Our goal is to fund the playground’s construction which is slated for 2015-2016.
