Digital Accessibility Statement

The City of Greeley is committed to providing equal access and opportunities to all users.

We are dedicated to improving user experience of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to ensure public-facing and internal-facing contents and technologies are easy to navigate and access. 

Furthermore, we aim to provide timely responses to requests for reasonable accommodation or modification as well as any reports, recommendations, or grievance submissions pertaining to digital accessibility.

Digital Accessibility Conformance Standards

The City of Greeley follows guidance published by the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) which has adopted Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) as standards to review, test, and validate digital accessibility conformance levels of our digital contents and Web-based services. These guidelines were designed to not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.

Our ongoing efforts include automated and manual accessibility testing measures utilizing industry-standard software as well as screen readers to identify potential barriers. We work hard to remediate existing accessibility issues while investing in training resources available to city employees who design, develop, and distribute public-facing content.
