GREELEY, Colo. — A new exhibit at the Greeley History Museum and a beloved springtime event at Centennial Village Museum will kick off a full slate of spring and summer events and exhibits for Greeley's museums.
"13 Minute Warning: Weld County in the Atomic Age" opens April 24 at the Greeley History Museum, 714 8th Street. The exhibit, which will run through December 11, explores the Cold War story behind Weld County's local Atlas Missile Sites. Exhibit visitors will learn how residents lived their daily lives prepared for disaster.
Baby Animal Days at Centennial Village Museum is April 25, 26 and 27. Visitors will have a chance to visit baby farm animals and play historical games on all three days. Each day will offer themed activities. Friday's theme, "Sheep to Shawl," will include fiber art crafts. On Saturday, visitors can enjoy wagon rides (weather permitting) and experience "Udder to Butter," with information about heritage farm animals and animal care. On Sunday, the theme is "Farm to Table," where visitors can sample local foods, with a nod to Greeley's Farmers' Market.
Note: Greeley’s Spring Clean Up Days will happen at the same time as Baby Animal Days on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26. To avoid Spring Clean Up lines on those days, take 11th Avenue to A Street. There, traffic directors will help steer you to parking for Baby Animal Days.

August Exhibit Opening: The Mexican American History Project Greeley
"Our History, Our Voice: Mexican American History Project Greeley" is a new exhibit opening August 21 at the Greeley History Museum. The exhibit explores Greeley's grassroots effort to celebrate, elevate and share the contributions of our local Latino residents. The Mexican American History Project Greeley started in 2022 as Greeley community members came together to chronicle Mexican American history in Greeley. The committee interviewed dozens of residents, conducted extensive research and compiled their findings in a manuscript. That book is set to be released this year. The exhibit will be open through April 2026 during regular Greeley History Museum hours.
Centennial Village Museum is located west of Island Grove Park at 1475 A Street in Greeley. Regular hours (late May through August) are Fridays – Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The museum may be open outside of regular hours for specific events.
