Connie Willis: Colorado Author’s Hall of FameUNC alumna Connie Willis has been inducted into the
Colorado Authors’ Hall of Fame alongside notable authors Louis L’Amour, Stephen King, and Madeline Albright. She is one of the most honored writers of the 80s and 90s and was
featured in Greeley’s Greeley Unexpected image campaign.
State of Colorado: Regional Air Quality Control CouncilCongratulations to Greeley at-large Councilmember Stacy Suniga for being named to the state
Regional Air Quality Control Council as a Weld County representative.
Monfort Elementary School: 2019 America’s Healthiest SchoolsMonfort Elementary School Trailblazers have been awarded a National Healthy Schools Bronze award and were named to the 2019 list of
America’s Healthiest Schools by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. They were the only school in Colorado to earn the award.
Greeley FFA: National FFA Convention and ExpoGreeley West’s FFA program will send several members to compete at the
National FFA Convention and Expo. Qualifiers include senior Katheryn Broderius, competing individually, who is a national finalist in the Food Products and Processing category, and a team of students competing in the Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems category.
