pecial Olympics Banner Unified Champion schools in which students work together to create an inclusive environment that exudes a sense of collaboration, engagement, and respect for all members of the student body and staff. There are 10 standards in four different categories schools must meet to be considered which include: Special Olympics Unified Sports, inclusive youth leadership, whole-school engagement, and sustainability.
University of Northern Colorado: $1 Million Grant – Digital Screening InterventionThe Department of Health and Human Services recently awarded the University of Northern Colorado a $1 million grant to collaborate on the project with Cliexa, a digital health technology company. The funding supports a 2-year study involving 700 participants, ages 14-24, and will assess the effectiveness of a new digital intervention system in clinical settings to foster earlier identification of high-risk adolescents.
Weld Food Bank: $25,000 State Farm Neighborhood Assist GrantThe Weld Food Bank is one of 40 winners across the nation, and the only winner in Colorado, to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm Neighborhood Assist, a program that encourages communities to identify issues in their neighborhoods. The grant will go toward funding for 6 months of Saturday distribution hours.
