The Colorado Department of Transportation has awarded a $2 million Revitalizing Main Street Grant to the City of Greeley for its 16th Street Corridor Enhancement Project. The project, extending from 7th Avenue to 11th Avenue on 16th Street, will create a safer, more inviting atmosphere on a vital corridor that serves as the gateway between UNC and Downtown through improved streetscape elements and safety measures.

AP Scholars Award to 97 District 6 Students Ninety-seven Greeley-Evans School District 6 students have earned the prestigious AP Scholars award for their outstanding performance on 2021 Advanced Placement tests, with two students earning the AP Capstone Diploma. The College Board’s Advanced Placement program offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses and exams while in high school. Over the past 14 years, more than 1,200 District 6 students have been named as AP Scholars by the College Board.
The Succeeds Prize Recognizing Education InnovatorsGreeley-Evans School District 6 is one of 6 winners of The Succeeds Prize for personalized learning, the most prestigious award for Colorado educators. The Succeeds Prize is a collaboration between Colorado Succeeds, 9NEWS, and the business community that seeks to recognize, and invest in, educators who are reimagining education to prepare students for jobs that don’t yet exist, tools not yet created, and problems not yet identified.
The University of Northern Colorado one of seven colleges across the U.S. selected to win the 2021 Assessment and Impact Award for Housing and Residence Life. The award, given by Skyfactor Benchworks, recognizes UNC’s efforts to improve community environment satisfaction, particularly for first-year residents in their transition to college, and for using data-driven programs to support on-campus living.
