42nd Annual Arts Picnic Canceled

Arts Picnic Logo

Greeley officials regret to announce the cancellation of this July’s 42nd Annual Arts Picnic in Lincoln Park.

Officials decided to cancel the 42nd Annual Arts Picnic to protect the health and safety of attendees, exhibitors, and staff. During this pandemic hosting a large gathering could threaten the health of so many.

“With the uncertainty of the Friday Fest Concerts, the Greeley Independence Stampede cancellation, and the current climate of uncertainty around gatherings of large sizes we don’t feel it’s in the best interest of the vendors and the picnickers to hold a celebration at the end of July,” said Manager of Cultural Affairs Jason Evenson. “We will be planning and organizing some exciting additions for next year’s picnic and can’t wait to come together in the park in 2021.”

Greeley officials understand and share in the disappointment of missing out this year on one of Greeley’s many great events. However, officials encourage community members to enjoy trails and the outdoors while taking the recommended CDC precautions, including wearing a mask, physical distancing and frequent hand washing.
