7th Avenue Stormwater Project Public Meeting

For about eight months starting in March, rolling closures will move along 7th Avenue from 13th Street to 16th Street as the City makes improvements to water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities and repaves the road.

City officials and project staff want to talk through the project, answer questions, and take feedback on the plan at a special meeting at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Greeley Recreation Center room 101, 651 10th Ave., Greeley.

The project replaces and upsizes the city’s stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary sewer systems. The work also relocates several non-city utilities such as gas, electric and communication lines and replaces the asphalt road surface and concrete curb and gutter.

This work takes place in conjunction with sanitary sewer replacements near 7th Avenue and 14th, 15th and 17th streets.

Construction work is scheduled to begin in late March with rolling sections of work for the next eight months until mid-November. The improvements will cause phased road closures through stretches of 7th Avenue and short, planned utility outages during specific periods of work.
