Anniversary Celebration Continues with the Spring Semester
The Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave., continues the celebration of the 30th anniversary with a spectacular Spring Semester. With shows anywhere from a Disney classic to country a capella, the UCCC presents a good time for all ages and interests.
The Spring Semester kicks off January 19, as Frankie Avalon gives audiences the music that became one of the defining sounds of “Pre-Beatles” Rock and Roll. Reminisce his three generations in music with numerous No. 1 hits including “Why” and “Venus.”
The RENT 20th Anniversary Tour will play February 2. The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning landmark rock musical is “a transcendent musical the notes of which touch anyone who has loved and lost” says the Huffington Post.
The festivities continue on April 3, with a capella country music sensation Home Free as they bring country standards to Greeley. On April 11, five-time Grammy Award-winner Michael McDonald performs songs from his latest album “Wide Open.” The Los Angeles Times hailed Michael McDonald’s surprise performance with Thundercat at Coachella as one of the “10 best performances” at the festival.
Every major performance will offer valet parking. Semester packages go on sale November 20 and single tickets are available starting December 18. For more information and tickets, contact the UCCC ticket office at 970-356-5000 or go online to ucstars.com.
