City Council Work Session on April 22 Moving to Greeley Police Department

GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley’s City Council Work Session on April 22 will take place at a different location than usual. On April 22, the work session will be in the Donahue Room at the Greeley Police Department, located at 2875 W 10th Street. Typical work sessions are at City Council Chambers at City Center South.

This temporary location change is so the city can replace aging technology in City Council Chambers. The work will happen from April 16 through May 3 and only impact the April 22 work session.

“The technology in Council Chambers is simply outdated and needs to be refreshed,” Nick Hoyle, Director of Information Technology, said. “This project is about having reliable equipment so meetings can continue to run smoothly.”

Continued public access is a commitment of the city. Live-streaming options will remain available.

“City Council meetings are important for residents to stay informed and engaged with their local government,” Heidi Leatherwood, City Clerk, said. “We wanted to ensure residents could still access the April 22 work session without disruption.”

The city chose the Donahue Room as the temporary meeting location because it has the right technology and is ADA-accessible.

The April 22 work session will begin at 6 p.m. Public input is not taken during these meetings.

City Council information and meetings are on the civic meeting portal greeleyco.portal.civicclerk.com
