City of Greeley’s Moriya, Japan Student Exchange Program 2019 Accepting Applications

Haley-Wood-2

The City of Greeley and Moriya, Japan, have been participating in a Sister City Student Exchange Program for over twenty years. The program is a great opportunity for students from both cities to explore each other’s countries and learn more about their cultures, traditions and ways of life. During odd-numbered years, such as 2019, the City of Greeley sponsors approximately ten high school students to visit Moriya and stay with a host family. During even years, such as in 2020, Greeley families host Moriya students.

Greeley high school students are invited to apply to travel as part of the Student Exchange Program to Moriya, Japan from June 19-28, 2019. Local businesses are encouraged to donate to the program and help support our ambassadors.

Details, financial responsibility and application to participate in Greeley’s Moriya, Japan Student Exchange Program are now available online at greeleygov.com/moriya. Eligible students must excel in academics, are Greeley residents, interested in fun and adventure and are excited about the possibility of developing lifelong friendships with people from across the Pacific Ocean. As an exchange student, participants serve as ambassadors between the two cities. The deadline for applications is January 21, 2019 at 5 p.m.
