Concert and Film Offer Northern Colorado a Weekend of Fun
The Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave., presents a performance by Colorado native Danielle Anderson and “Alive and Kicking,” a swing dance documentary.
Indie-folk songwriter and ukulele player, Danielle Anderson as Danielle Ate the Sandwich, is set to play live Saturday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m.
Known for quirky lyrical twists, her new album journeys into more musical styles, even adding a new set of instruments, but continuing to deliver the witty and honest stage banter she is known for.
The documentary, “Alive and Kicking” gives audiences an intimate, insider’s view into the culture of the swing dance world while shedding light on issues facing modern society. Catch the showing of “Alive and Kicking” Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m. There will be a brief swing dance performance by Colorado Dance Collective prior to the movie.
