Discovery Bay’s Annual Doggie Day August 24
The City of Greeley will be hosting their annual Discovery Bay’s Doggie Day, located at 715 E 24 Street, on Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m to noon for dogs up to 50 pounds and from 1 to 3 p.m. for dogs weighing 51 pounds or more. Bring your dog for a dip in our outdoor pool before it closes for the season. It’s a day full of fun for the whole family with booths from presenting sponsors, goodie bags filled with dog treats and toys for every participant that attends!
Register for the event before 5 p.m. on Friday, August 23 for only $8 at the Greeley Recreation Center (651 10th Ave.), Family FunPlex (1501 65th Ave.) or Discovery Bay. Each admission purchase admits one dog and two human friends. You can still sign up the day of the event at the door for $10 per dog. Additional human friends are $2 per person. There is a 100-dog limit for each session, so sign up early!
“One of our Pool Managers, Shae Barger, loves to bring her dog Bijou (be-joo) to the event,” said Justin Wells, Aquatics Supervisor. “There are tons of places for dogs to play at Discovery Bay Waterpark including a zero-depth area, splash pad, lazy river and a beautiful lawn.” Be sure to bring your dog’s favorite ball or Frisbee to play catch! Thanks to our sponsors for their generous support and donations. Discovery Bay’s Doggie Day is sponsored in part by Mountain State K9 Academy, Sheep Draw Veterinary Hospital, Sirius Fun Doggie Daycare, The Dog Pawlour Marketplace, J&T Feeds, Greeley Tribune, 99.9 The Point and Retro 102.5.
