District 6 and Friends Art Walk Makes a Stop at the Tointon Gallery
Celebrate Youth Art Month with the City of Greeley’s Tointon Gallery and District 6 Schools at the annual District 6 and Friends Art Walk, 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 4 at 651 10th Ave.
This one-of-a-kind First Friday event offers a chance to experience visual art created by Greeley’s very own young creatives at various downtown Greeley locations—representing 30 area schools, including charter schools, and artwork from the University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College art students.
The Tointon Gallery’s District 6 Display
In conjunction with the art walk, Tointon Gallery staff invite community members to the opening reception of its District 6 exhibit, featuring the work of Greeley Central and Greeley West high school students.
Enjoy paintings, drawings, sculptures, and more from these talented young, local artists, on display from March 4-21. The March 4 reception is free, open to the public, and includes light refreshments.
District 6 and Friends Art Walk Locations
Adjacent to the Tointon Gallery on the second floor of the Union Colony Civic Center, the Two Rivers Lounge will display artwork created by the Winograd k-8 school. Check out the 2022 District 6 and Friends Art Walk map to find all participating locations in this year’s event.
The Tointon Gallery features up to 12 different exhibits annually. As the only city-run gallery in Greeley, the facility provides visitors with opportunities to experience the visual arts and enjoy educational and thought-provoking discussions. By contributing to the city’s thriving arts community, the Tointon Gallery enhances the community and the quality of life of its residents.
