Experience an Evening of Symphony and Soul at The Burroughs Live with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra

The-Burroughs

“Sweaty Soul” meets symphonic music in an exciting, collaborative performance from local favorites, The Burroughs and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra (GPO), at the Union Colony Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23.

The concert will feature The Burroughs’ trademark nine-piece band and popular hits, accompanied by the seasoned members of the GPO.

An Evening of Firsts
The Burroughs jump into their first experience playing with a symphony orchestra with new arrangements and joint orchestrations of their popular songs. Fans can look forward to a set list highlighting favorites from The Burroughs catalog of music and some new releases as well.

This event also kicks off the GPO’s 2021-2022 performance season and marks their first live concert in 18 months. This will be the début concert for the GPO’s new music director and Greeley native, Lowell Graham, who was appointed to the role in July.

A Piece of Greeley’s Music Past and Present
Operating for more than a century, the GPO is one of the nation’s oldest professional orchestras, contracting full-time musicians from across Colorado. In addition to continuing its rich heritage of providing Greeley residents with access to symphony classics, the GPO finds ways to adapt and introduce new audiences to orchestral music through unique collaborations.
