Four-Way Stop Goes in at 11th Avenue & H Street
The intersection of 11th Avenue and H Street will become a four-way stop the week of Oct. 21.
Staff analysis of traffic volume, speed, accident type, and crash frequency at the intersection indicated a need for a four-way stop.
Based on that information, Greeley transportation officials decided to change the intersection — currently a two-way stop — to address safety concerns at the heavily-traveled juncture.
Officials plan for most of the work to take place Oct. 21 with some additional work taking place in the ensuing week.
Stops signs on 11th Avenue will be affixed with flashing beacons to make them clearly visible. Drivers can expect advanced warning signs near the intersection before and after our crews install the new stop signs.
The change in stop signs will not alter the lane configuration
