Free Christmas Tree Recycling at GROW Center

GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley and Weld County residents can recycle their real, natural Christmas trees for free from now until January 31 at the Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Recycling Center, temporarily located at H Street and 11th Avenue, just north of the Poudre River Bridge.

Residents need to remove all decorations, lights, wires and similar materials before bringing their tree to the GROW Recycling Center. Staff at the center grind up the trees and turn them into compost to improve soil, instead of sending them to the landfill.

During the winter season, the GROW Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

For more information about Christmas tree recycling, call 970-673-2042 or contact Infrastructure Services at 970-350-9336. For information on other recycling opportunities, visit greeleygov.com/recycling.
